• Funeral services were held last Friday afternoon at the Hopefield Mennonite Church near Moundridge for R. J. Schrag, 75, who died suddenly April 30 at his home in McPherson. Rev. H. B. Schmidt, the pastor, officiated. Born near Moundridge, Mr. Schrag had lived in McPherson County most of his life. He was married here on April 28, 1918 to Marie Dirks. The couple had observed their golden wedding anniversary on Easter Sunday, with all of their children and families present. The surviving children are Daniel and William of, David of Meadows, Ill., Abe of newton, and Mrs. Anna Marie Watson of Springdale, Ark. Also surviving are 12 grandchildren and eight brothers.
