Tractor Upset Claims Life of Freeman Area Farmer

Freeman, S. D. — Largely attended memorial services were conducted at the Salem-Zion Mennonite Church near here on Feb. 27 for LeRoy Schrag, 46-year-old farmer who lost his life in a tractor accident. Rev. Wilfred Ulrich, pastor of the church, officiated.

Mr. Schrag was moving hay with a tractor and loader at his farm near here when the machine overturned, crushing him underneath.

Survivors include his widow, the former Alice Aman, a daughter Monica and son Dennis, both students at Freeman High School. He was a son of the late Ernest E. and Olga (Miller) Schrag.
