Ralph J. Schrag

Ralph J. Schrag, son of Andrew C. and Mary Schrag, was born in the Menno district, Washington, October 2, 1902. When but a boy of only three years of age his father passed away very suddenly following an accident, so that he never had the vital touch of the life and heart of his father.

Nevertheless it was his privilege to grow to manhood under the tender care and touch of his loving mother. On May 5, 1920, he was baptized upon his confession of faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and united in membership with the Menno Mennonite church remaining a faithful member thereof until his end. For many years Ralph with his brother has been taking care of the home ranch and providing for their mother.

Wednesday, June 21, on his way home from a neighbor, very suddenly he met with an auto accident. In an unconscious state he was rushed to the Sacred Heart Hospital at Spokane and there passed away the same evening, quietly attaining an age of 36 years, 8 months, 19 days.

He leaves to mourn his passing, his mother, 2 brothers, 2 sisters, and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were conducted at the Menno Mennonite church and interment was made in the Mennonite cemetery near the church, Saturday, June 24, Rev. M. J. Galle of Odessa officiating.
