• Ray W. Schowalter, 71, a retired carpenter and lifelong resident of the Moundridge community, died there April 7. Funeral services were held Saturday forenoon at the First Mennonite Church of Christian, with Rev. Ralph Weber officiating. Mr. Schowalter leaves his wife, the former Selma Goering,; one daughter, Mrs. Marvin Westerman of Halstead; one sister, three brothers and three grandsons.
