Donnellson, Iowa. — Release from many years of invalidism came on Feb. 13 for Mrs. Abraham Schowalter, 92, who passed away at her home in Donnellson.
She was a lifelong resident of Lee County and a member of the Donnellson Mennonite Church, where funeral services were conducted on Feb. 16 by the pastor, Rev. Harold Thiessen.
Surviving are her husband, one daughter, Mrs. Fred Hardin of Donnellson, five grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

MRS. ABR. SCHOWALTER
Mrs. Abraham Schowalter, 92, died in her home in Donnellson, Iowa at 1 a. m. Thursday, Feb. 13. She had been an invalid for a number of years.
She was a member of Zion Mennonite Church and of the Woman's Mission Society of the church.
Magdalena Schmidt Schowalter was born Sept. 26, 1865, northeast of Donnellson and was a lifelong resident of Lee County. On November 28, 1901,near Warren, she was married to Abraham Schowalter, who survives as does also one daughter, Mrs. Fred (Hilda) Hardin of Donnellson; five grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Magdalena Schowalter Schmidt; one brother, John Schmidt; two brothers in infancy; two sisters, Mrs. Katherine Schoene and Mrs. Mary Knabe and her son-in-law, Fred Hardin.
Funeral services were held in the Mennonite church Sunday at 2 p. m. with Rev. Harold Thiessen officiating. Prayer service at 1:30 in Millers Home for Funerals preceded the church services.
Misses Hilda, Lillian and Mary Krehbiel and Mrs. Howard Leisy sang “Jesus Lover of My Soul” and “My Hope Is Built.” They were accompanied by Miss Iris Lowenberg.
Burial was in the Mennonite cemetery.
