— John Schnebele, for many years an active member and deacon of the Zion church at Donnellson, Ia., recently passed away at his home in that community. He is survived by his wife and several children. Funeral services were in charge of Rev. Adolf Friesen.

JOHN SCHNEBELE, son of Jacob and Barbara Eicher Schnebele, died on February 3, 1938, aged 77 years, 3 months, and 4 days. In early youth he united with the Zion Mennonite Church of Donnellson, Iowa, where he served as a deacon for 11 years, and remained an active member throughout his life.

Oct. 31, 1897, he was united in marriage to Elise M. Lowenberg Krebill. Of this union four children were born, of which two passed on before him.

He leaves to mourn his death his bereaved widow; one daughter, Mrs. Elizabeth Pickron of Rock Eland, Ill.; and one son, Orlando Schnebele of East Moline, Ill.; also three step children, Mrs. Ella Pink of Rock Island, Ill.; Harry J. Krebill and H. Fred Krebill, both of Donnellson, Iowa; also two half sisters and one half brother, Mrs. Katherine Kuehney, Mrs. Elizabeth Staufer, and Valentine Schnebele, all three of Deer Creek, Oklahoma. Two sisters and one brother preceded him in death.

Funeral services were held February 6, at the Zion Mennonite Church of Donnellson, Iowa.
