MR. PETER J. SCHMOR

Peter J. Schmor of the Mennonite Home for the Aged, Vineland, Ontario, went to meet his Saviour on July 27, 1966 at the age of 92 years.

Mr. Schmor was born on December 24, 1873 in Orloff, Russia. Shortly after, Nebraska became his new home. In 1908 he met and married his wife at Rosthern. The Lord extended his hand and Mr. Schmor accepted his Saviour on February 20, 1909. On June 12, 1909 he was baptized and joined the Church. Together Mr. Schmor and his wife worked in the Lord's vineyard for 58 years. They were very active until their eyesight began to fail. Mr. and Mrs. Schmor entered the Mennonite Home for the Aged in 1958. His wife met her Lord in 1964. Mr. Schmor knew his Lord was calling him and requested his family to be near him on Monday night. On Wednesday morning he quietly passed away. Mr. Schmor left four children to mourn him: John (Ontario), Henry (British Columbia), Mrs. Matilda Schrocke (Ontario), Mrs. Martha Sperling (Ontario) and a sister, Mrs. Marie Friesen (Saskatchewan) and D. Schmor and C. Schmor (British Columbia).

Mr. P. J. Schmor is now with his Lord whom he knew, loved and served until he was called home. His family and friends brought him to his final resting place on July 29, 1966.
