• Funeral services for David H. Schmitt, 82, of Visalia, Calif. were conducted last Saturday at the West Zion Mennonite Church, Moundridge, with Rev. Marvin Zehr in charge. Mr. Schmitt died April 4 in Visalia. He formerly was employed as a bank cashier in Moundridge and moved to California about 25 years ago. Survivors include his widow, the former Thressa [sic Theresia] Koller, two sons and three daughters. A son, Wilbur, resides in Newton.
