— Leonard D. Schmidt, 54, died last Sunday at his home on Route 2, Peabody. Funeral services were announced for Thursday afternoon at the Goessel Mennonite Church, of which he was a member, with Rev. Leo Miller officiating. Mr. Schmidt was born near Goessel on Feb. 28, 1904. Surviving are his wife, four daughters and three sons, eight grandchildren, four sisters and two brothers. Two daughters, Mrs. Wilbur Besore and Mrs. J. B. Ensz, are residents of Newton.
