| + | • David L. Schmidt, 78, died early Sunday morning at Salem Hospital in Hillsboro. Funeral services were arranged for Wednesday afternoon at the Alexanderwohl Church, with Rev. Aaron Epp in charge. A native of Marion County, Mr. Schmidt was married to Lena Schmidt in 1913. They took up residence on a farm in the Goessel community, which was their home at the time of his death. Surviving in addition to the widow are a son, Anton of rural Hillsboro; three daughters, Mrs. Ervin Dyck of rural Walton, Mrs. John H. Reimer and Mrs. Theodore Flaming of rural Hillsboro; 11 grandchildren, two step-grandchildren; a brother, Peter L. of rural Newton; one sister, Mrs. Diet. Janzen of Walton; and a step-sister, Mrs. D. D. Reimer of Newton. |
