&bull; Cornelius J. Schmidt, who was born near Goessel on June 1, 1879, died last Saturday evening at the home of a daughter, Mrs. John B. (Mary) Golden in Newton. He had resided in the Gooses community until moving to the Golden home about five months ago. Funeral services were arranged for Wednesday afternoon at the Tabor Mennonite Church. Rev. James Walter officiating. Mr. Schmidt's wife preceded him in death in 1955. Surviving are six daughters, two sons, 24 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and one sister, Mrs. H. R. Schneider of Ferndale, Wash.

• Cornelius J. Schmidt, who was born near Goessel on June 1, 1879, died last Saturday evening at the home of a daughter, Mrs. John B. (Mary) Golden in Newton.
