&bull; Cornelius H. Schmidt, 82, of the Tabor Church community died Tuesday at Axtell Christian Hospital. He had been admitted to the hospital two days earlier for treatment of a fractured hip suffered in a fall. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday at the Tabor Church, with Rev. James Waltner officiating. Mr. Schmidt had resided on a farm in the Walton community since his marriage to Katie Voth in 1906. She survives with four daughters, five sons, 27 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, on brother, one sister, and one adopted sister.
