Automobile Tragedy At Iola Takes Both Father and Mother

PRESS REPORT STATES HALSTEAD FAMILY INVOLVED IN ACCIDENT NEAR IOLA

On the way home from a visit at Rich Hill, Mo., Mr. and Mrs. J. A. R. Schmidt of Halstead were killed late last Thursday in an automobile accident on highway 54 near Iola, two miles east of Moran, according to a press report.

The Schmidt car, driven by a son, Llewellyn Schmidt, collided with another automobile. Miss Osie Schmidt, a daughter, suffered a broken collar bone. Three others in the car were unhurt.
