Elmer Eugene Schmidt, 78, of Greensburg, half-brother of Donald Schmidt, Livona Logan and Luella Brewer, all of Peabody, died June15 at Kiowa County Memorial Hospital, Greensburg. Funeral services were held June 17 at Greensburg Mennonite Church, with Chuck Lyon officiating. Burial was in Fairview Cemetery, Greensburg. He was a retired farmer, a school-bus driver for more than 20 years and a lifetime Greensburg resident. Other survivors include his wife, Edna (Smith); one son, Larry of Greensburg; two brothers, Wesley of Arlington and Fred of Pawnee Rock; one other half-brother, Roy of Pratt; one step-brother, Herman Koop of Hutchinson; one sister Bernice Webb of Springdale, Ark.; and one other half-sister, Alma Fay Linkous of Emporia; one stepsister, Marie Roth of Hutchinson; two granddaughters and one great-granddaughter.
