— Funeral services were held at the Christian church in Peabody last Saturday afternoon for D. F. Schmidt, 72, of Peabody, former resident of the Lehigh community. He died Oct. 1 at the St. Luke's Hospital in Marion. Burial was made at the Lehigh Mennonite cemetery. Among those surviving are his wife and eight children, including Willard Schmidt and Mrs. Rosella Friesen of Newton.
