— Mr. B. D. Schmidt, of Cordell, Okla., is spending some time in Kansas, after having attended the funeral of his brother, Mr. David E. Schmidt, of Hillsboro, who was buried last Wednesday. Mr. Schmidt came to Newton to-day in order to visit at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Jacob Hildebrand, who lives on E. 2nd St.
