Memorial services for Clinton L. Schmidt, 53, of rural Hillsboro, were held Jan. 6 at Alexanderwohl Mennonite Church near Goessel, with Dennis Schmidt officiating. Graveside services and burial were at the Alexanderwohl cemetery. He died Jan. 3 at Newton Medical Center. A native of Hillsboro, he was a farmer and employee of Hay and Forage, Hesston. Survivors include his wife, Geraldine (Nickel); two sons, Robert of Hillsboro and LeRoy of Merriam; one daughter, Janelle Stockman of Peabody; one sister, Doris Dirksen of rural Moundridge; and three grandchildren.
