Funeral services for Tena (Franz) Schellenberg, 89, of North Newton, were held Oct. 20 at Bethel College Mennonite Church, North Newton. Wendell Wiebe Powell, Dorothea Janzen and Wilber Nachtigall officiated. She died Oct. 17 at Kidron Bethel Village, North Newton. Burial was in the Buhler East Municipal Cemetery. She was a retired elementary school teacher in the Newton area and traveled to more than 30 countries. She also lived in Douglas County and in South Dakota and was a native of Henderson, Neb. Survivors include one son, James of Terre Haute, Ind.; one daughter, Naomi Jantzen of Cincinnati,; and five grandchildren. Her husband, Isaac F., died in 1955.
