Suffers Fatal Injury In Accident While Driving Tractor

FUNERAL SERVICES FOR PETE SCHANTZ HELD AT THOMAS MENN. CHURCHH

Thomas, Oklahoma. — A large funeral was held at the Mennonite church here for Pete Schantz, who was fatlly injured recently while working with a tractor.

The accident happened near a local elevator, when at the request of an elevator employee, Mr. Schantz tried to pull a carload of wheat down the track a ways. In some manner he was crushed between the tractor and car. Mr. Schantz was rushed to the local hospital, but passed away several hours after the accident. He had been employed by Clyde Keller.

Mrs. Schantz and eight children survive.
