Aged Resident Of Home Died at 88

Metamora, Ill. — Funeral services were held at Flanagan on Jan. 21 for Mrs. Phoebe Schaefer, 88, who passed away Jan. 18 at the Mennonite home for aged in Eureka where she had resided for 24 years.

A native of the Congerville community, she and her husband, the late Fred Schaefer, farmed in the Flanagan community until his death in 1927. She was a member of the Flanagan Mennonite church.

She is survived by one daughter, two sons, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
