Realizing her need of a Saviour in her youth, she accepted Christ as her personal Saviour and was baptized upon her confession of faith in May 1907 and united with the Bergthal Mennonite Church near Corn, Okla. On Oct. 1, 1961 she and her husband transferred their membership to the First Mennonite Church of Clinton, Okla. where she remained a faithful member until her death. In the church, she was especially active in the Senior Ladies Mission Society.

On Oct. 9, 1910 she was united in marriage with Ben C. Sawatzky. Their home was blessed with one daughter and three sons. On Oct. 9, 1960 they were privileged to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with their family, relatives and friends. This was the last time the entire family was together.

For the past year her health had been failing and for the last nine months she was unable to attend church services.

She leaves to mourn her departure her husband, of Clinton; one daughter, Ruby, Mrs. Edwin Wollmann and husband of Cordell, Okla.; three sons, Gus Sawatzky and family of Reedley, Calif.; Orville Sawatzky and family of Weatherford, Okla. and Alfred Sawatzkey and daughter of Clinton; ten grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; one brother, Jake Lettkeman of Weatherford, and two sisters, Mrs. K.
