text of obituary:

(MRS.) ANNA SAWATSKY

(Mrs.) Anna Sawatsky was born April 12, 1912 near Osler, Sask., where she grew up. Her parents were Franz and Susanna Guen her. In 1931 she received religious instrucion, was baptized and joined the Mennonite Church.

In October of 1935 she married George Sawatsky, a union blessed with one son. The Sawatskys moved to Yarrow, B.C. in 1940. It was here that the Gospel of Christ took on new importance for her. After five years of searching for a deeper joy in the Lord, Mrs. Sawatsky found new joy and forgiveness after responding to the Word of God during service at which Abram Nightingale spoke. She continued as a faithful member of the Yarrow Mennonite Brethren Church and an active participant in ladies aid activities until her passing on November 25, 1975.

In the spring of 1974 she became ill and cancer was discovered. On October 23 she entered hospital for the last time and went home to her Lord soon after.

She leaves to mourn her beloved husband, George; their son, Ervin; her brothers and sisters and their families, relatives and friends.
