LANCASTER COUNTY, PA. YOUTH DROWNS WHILE ON VISIT IN ILLINOIS

Smoketown, Pa. — L. Richard Sahm, 20, of Ephrata lost his life by drowning in Lake Vermillion near Danville, Ill. on Saturday, June 9.

The body was returned to Lancaster County and funeral services were held at the Springville Mennonite Church near here. He is survived by his parents, Jay and Mildred (Stauffer) Sahm, two brothers and two sisters.

The youth, a truck driver for the C. W. Stambaugh Produce Trucking Co., left June 6 for a cargo run to St. Louis, Mo. On the return trip he stopped to visit a brother Norman, in Illinois, where the tragic accident occurred.
