• Robert W. Ruth, 54, president of the Hesston State Bank, died unexpectedly at Bethel Deaconess Hospital on Sept. 17. Mr. Ruth also was president of the State Banking Board. He was born at Newton, a son of P. E. and May Ruth, and was a lifelong resident of the Hesston community. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the Hesston EUB Church, of which he was a member.
