High School Senior Fatally Injured in Crossing Accident

Archbold, Ohio. — A grade crossing accident on Monday evening, March 1, claimed the life of Ronald L. Rupp, Pettisville High School senior, on the eve of his 19th birthday.

The youth, son of Mr. and Mrs. Victor Rupp of rural Wauseon, was on the way from his home to the high school when his auto was hit broadside by a Norfolk and Western freight train at a rural crossing.

The funeral was conducted March 4 at the Evangelical Mennonite Church, Wauseon, with Rev. Curt Classen in charge.

Besides his parents, the youth is survived by a brother, Marlin, of Fort Wayne and three married sisters.
