Ohio Youth Killed In Car-Train Crash

Wauseon, Ohio. — An accident at a grade crossing east of here early Wednesday, March 16, claimed the life of Robert L. Rupp, 24, son Mr. and Mrs. Levi W. Rupp of rural Wauseon.

Funeral services were conducted Saturday afternoon at the Tedrow Mennonite Church.

The young man was instantly killed when his auto crashed into the 28th car of a switching Norfolk and Western Railway freight train. Only three weeks earlier, two persons were killed and two injured at the same crossing.

Robert was employed as a truck driver by Herbert Grieser of Archbold.
