LOCK JAW FATAL TO KANSAS BOY, 10

Moundridge, Kans. — William Joel Rupp, 10 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Weldon J. Rupp, died of lockjaw on Oct 13. Funeral services were held at the West zion [sic] Mennonite church here on Oct. 16.

The youth had run a piece of wire into his finger several weeks earlier, and became seriously ill before it was realized he had the deadly infection.
