Young Minister of Indiana Church Dies

REV. STANLEY RUPP, 44, SERVED EVANGELICAL MENN. CONGREGATION

Archbold, Ohio. — Relatives from this community attended funeral services at Lafayette, Ind. Aug. 20 for Rev. Stanley I. Rupp, 44 a minister of the Evangelical Mennonite church who died at his home there Aug. 17 after a six week illness.

The services were held at the Lafayette Gospel Center, of which he was the pastor. Rev. Reuben Short of Archbold, president of the Evangelical Mennonite Conference, and E. G. Steiner of Berne, Ind. officiated.

A native of the Archbold community, Rev. Rupp formerly served the Evangelical Mennonite congregation at Bluffton. He leaves his wife, Harriet, and eight children; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John A. Rupp of Alanson, Mich.; two brothers, Rev. Paul Rupp of Illinois and John Jr. of Alanson.
