Father of Former college President Dies at Morton, Ill.

Morton, Ill. — Samuel R. Roth, 80, a life-long resident of this community, died July 17 at 8 p.m. at his home, 111 Crestwood Drive.

Born in Morton July 7, 1891, the son of Daniel and Elisette Goldsmith Roth, he was married to Etta Ropp on Feb. 10, 1920, at Tremont, Ill. She died Dec. 16, 1941, and on Jan. 12, 1943, he was married to Verna Eigsti.
