FORMER MISSIONARY DIES AT CORFU, N. Y.

Corfu, N. Y. — Relatives and friends from a number of states attended funeral services here Sept. 13 for Min. Joseph Roth, well known retired relief worker and missionary of the Beachy Amish Mennonite Church.

Min. Roth and his wife, the former Saloma Eicher of Berne, Ind., served for a number of years in Europe. His death on Sept. 10 followed a long period of failing health.

JOSEPH ROTH

Joseph Roth, 68, of Reynolds Road, Corfu, New York, died at his home on Friday, Sept. 10, 1965. He had been suffering from a heart condition for some time.

He was a retired farmer and minister and had been in relief service on different occasions. He was in Poland in1948-49. He spent over three years in West Germany, and started a work in Berlin in 1956 for Amish Mennonite Aid.

He was born in Wellesley, Ont., the son of Dan B. and Annie (Zehr) Roth.

Surviving are his wife, Salome (Eicher) Roth; three foster children, Fred Paugh, Catherine Morrou, and Albert Roth; a brother Sam of Wellesley, On.; and two sisters, Mrs. Mose Jantz, Wellesley, and Mrs. Bena (Graber) Miller.

The memory of the righteous remains a blessing.
