HENRY JACOB ROGALSKY
Henry J. Rogalsky, a pioneer of the Coaldale (Alta.) district passed away peacefully on Easter Sunday. Born in Russia on December 30, 1888, he was brought up and educated there. In 1912 he married Mary Peters, a union that was blessed with six daughters and a son. Two daughters and the son predeceased their father.
The Rogalskys emigrated to Canada in 1925 and took up residence at Coaldale. They farmed there until 1949 when he leased out his farm and took up carpentry. He became seriously ill in January and in early April he passed away. The funeral service was held in the Coaldale Church on April 10. Ministering at the funeral were Rev. D.J. Pankratz and Rev. G.G. Nakayama. Left to mourn his passing are his wife, four daughters and a son-in-law, two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
