ELI ROESCHLEY

Eli Roeschley, widely known retired farmer of Flanagan, Ill., died Feb. 11 at St. James Hospital in Pontiac, Ill. where he had been a patient at different intervals the past year.

Funeral services were held Friday morning, Feb. 14 at 10:30 at the Waldo Mennonite Church with Rev. E. J. Stalter officiating.

He was born April 16, 1893, northwest of Flanagan, a son of John and Elizabeth Orendorff Roeschley. He married Emma Beller on Dec. 17, 1919 in Pontiac. They farmed in the Flanagan and Graymont vicinity until 1960 when they retired and moved to Flanagan.

Surviving are his wife; a son, Burdell of Graymont, Ill.; three daughters, Mrs. Myra Gunden of Milford, Ind., Miss Wilma Roeschley of Elgin, Ill., and Mrs. Sally White of Newton, Mass.; six brothers, Leo of Graymont, Noah of Peoria, Melvin, Roy, and Orie of Flanagan, and Harold of El Paso; two sisters, Mrs. Lavina Slagell and Miss Frieda Roeschley, Flanagan; and ten grandchildren.

Two brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.

He united with the Waldo Mennonite Church in his youth, and was a faithful attendant there as long as his health permitted. Burial was in the Waldo Cemetery. — The Family.
