Climbing a tall tree in search of raccoons, Mr. Rissler lost his grip and fell 20 feet to the ground. He died at Reading Hospital from a ruptured aorta.

Surviving are his wife, Charlotte McCorkle Rissler, and a 14-month-old daughter, Priscilla Ruth.

Lancaster County Man Killed in 20-Foot Fall

Ephrata, Pa. — Funeral services for John D. Rissler, 33, of rural Bethel, who died Nov. 8 from the injuries sustained in a hunting accident, were conducted at Royer's Mennonite Church near Myerstown on Nov. 13.

Climbing a tall tree in search of raccoons, Mr. Rissler lost his grip and fell 20 feet to the ground. He died at Reading Hospital from a ruptured aorta.

Surviving are his wife, Charlotte McCorkle Rissler, and a 14-month-old daughter, Priscilla Ruth.
