Mrs. Otto G. Risser

Aberdeen, Idaho, July 10. — A shock of sadness overtook our community last Friday evening when a report brought the news from the American Falls hospital that Mrs. Otto G. Risser had died there at five o'clock that afternoon, following a brief illness of only two days, as the result of appendicitis. Mrs. Risser had been confined to the hospital due to other illness and had recovered sufficiently to come home within a day or two, when on Thursday morning she was stricken with a severe attack of appendicitis. In the evening of the same day she underwent an operation, after which she regained consciousness and rested nicely until Friday, when she quietly passed into the great beyond.

Mrs. Risser, nee Miss Marie Tiahrt, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Cornelius Tiahrt, came to Aberdeen with her parents in the early pioneer days of the community. Later she lived in Nebraska two years, where she was married, and for the past ten years she has lived here with her own family.

The funeral for Mrs. Otto G. Risser was held Monday afternoon at 2:30 from the family home, and services were conducted at the First Mennonite church, with Rev. Ben Clover pastor of the Full Gospel church of Boise officiating. The funeral was in charge of the Davis Undertaking Co0. of American Falls and interment was made in the Homestead Mennonite cemetery. The spacious church auditorium was crowded to capacity with friends who came to pay last respects to the deceased.

The obituary of Mrs. Risser, read at the funeral services was as follows:

Mrs. Otto G. Risser, nee Marie L. Tiahrt, was born Dec. 3, 1895, at Beatrice, Nebraska. In the early youth she was baptized upon the confession of her faith.

March 20, 1918 she was united in holy matrimony to Otto G. Risser.

They were blessed with two daughters, Neta and Jeanette, Jeanette being called home in her infancy. Marie was called home July 4 at 5 o'clock in the afternoon.

She reached the age of 34 years 7 months, 1 day.

She leaves to mourn, her bereaved husband, one daughter, aged mother, two brothers and two sisters, many loved ones and friends. — Aberdeen Times.
