— The sad news arrived here Monday evening of the death of Mrs. F. Ringelman, of Geary, Okla. Mrs. Ringelman had been quite low for some time, and for nearly two months had been in a sanitarium in Oklahoma City, she passing away there late Monday afternoon.

Mrs. Ringelman's sisters, Mrs. R. A. Goerz, Newton, and Mrs. Katie Kuse [sic Kruse], Lawrence, had visited her late last week, they returning to Newton Sunday night. Monday noon a message arrived, in answer to which Mr. and Mrs. Goerz and Mrs. Kruse immediately left per auto for Oklahoma. Funeral services are to be held Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at Geary. Among the brothers from here who will go to Geary is Rv. H. P. Krehbiel, Newton.

Susanna Ruth (Krehbiel) Ringelman

was born June 16, 1871, at Summerfield, Ill., the daughter of Rev. And Mrs. Christian Krehbiel. In 1879 her parents removed to Halstead, Kansas.

Early in life she accepted Jesus and her personal Saviour and about the year 1885 was baptized on her confession of faith and became a member of the Halstead Mennonite Church.

On Nov. 26, 1891 she was united in the holy bonds of matrimony with Frederick Ringelman. In the summer of 1894 they removed to Geary, Okla., in and near which place they made their home from that time until her departure. Three children were born to this union, Orlando, Elma and Elda, all living in Geary at this time.

When the First Mennonite church of Geary was founded she transferred her membership and became one of the small group of charter members. She remained loyal, steadfast and faithful member until her death, which occured [sic] on December 15, 1924.

Although she was ill for a long time before her death, she was always cheerful, never complaining, but ever a source of inspiration to others with whom she came in contact. Hers was a consistent Christian life, it being her greatest delight to bring joy and cheer to others and to reflect honor upon the name of her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ by being of service to others both temporally and spiritually. She lived close to her Saviour, so to her death was merely the transition to a better life.

She attained the age of 53 years, 5 months and 29 days. She leaves to mourn her early departure her husband, son, two daughters, a daughter in law and grandson, seven brothers , two sisters and a host of friends.
