● Services were held Jan. 27 at the Grace Hill Mennonite Church, rural Whitewater, for Cornelius N. Riesen, who died at the Bethel Deaconess Hospital at the age of 74. He had lived most of his life in the Sedgwick-Newton area. He was married in 1928 to Edna Harms, who survives along with two daughters, Beverly (Mrs. Marvin) Unruh of North Newton and Mildred (Mrs. Don) Franz of Wichita; and four grandchildren.
