Two Amish Youths Killed When Speeding Auto Hits Buggy

Gap, Pa. — Largely attended Amish funerals were held on successive days, April 18 and 19, for two youths killed in a traffic accident early Sunday morning, April 16.

David Lapp, 18, son of Deacon John Lapp, and Elmer Riehl, 17, son of Chris Riehl, were traveling on Highway 340 in a buggy when it was hit by a speeding auto. The occupants of the car were reported under the influence of alcohol.
