Long-Time Resident Of Steinbach Dies

Steinbach, Man. — Funeral services for Mrs. Rieger, 82, a resident here for nearly 50 years, were held Oct. 20 at the local Evangelical Mennonite Brethren Church, with Rev. C. Wilbert Loewen and Rev. J. J. Regier officiating.

Mrs. Rieger died at the hospital here Oct. 17. One of her three daughters is Dr. Anna Rieger, long-time faculty member at Grace Bible Institute, Omaha, Neb. She leaves three sons, 12 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and a brother, Konrad Berger of Steinbach.

Born at Karlsdorf, Hungary, Mrs. Rieger came to Winnipeg in 1905 and was married to Sebastian Rieger in 1907. She was a member of the E.M.B. Church here.
