LARGE NUMBER ATTEND FINAL SERVICES FOR IOWA WOMAN

Kalona, Iowa. — Nearly 1,000 persons gathered at the East Union church to pay their respects to Mrs. Eliza Rhodes, 70, who passed away in her sleep on July 17 after a long and serious illness. bishop D. J. fisher, who with his family was on the way to Michigan, returned from Elkhart, ind., to conduct the funeral.

Mrs. Rhodes was the first of her family to break the family circle. All of her brothers and sisters, including Mrs. Noah Bender of Goshen, ind., were present for the funeral. She also leaves her husband, eight children and 20 grandchildren. Her five sons and one grandson carried her to her final resing [sic] place.
