ADA FRANCES RHODES

Ada Frances Rhodes was born to Solomon E. and Susanna Heatwole Rhodes on March 10, 1878, at Harrisonburg, Va. and passed from this life to her eternal Home Sunday morning, Dec. 2, 1956, aged 78 years, eight months and 22 days. Nearly all her life was spent in the community where she was born except a few years in Ohio and Colorado.

She was preceded in death by her father and mother, one brother John and step-sister Anna Mary Burkholder. Anna Mary and Aunt Ada kept the home together for a number of years.

Surviving are two sisters, Anna Rhodes Brunk of Low Point, Ill., and Ella S. Rhodes of Harrisonburg, Va.; two brothers, Amos W. of la Junta, Colo. and Bishop S. H. Rhodes of Harrisonburg. Also surviving are a number of nieces and nephews who will always remember Aunt Ada's gentle, unassuming character.

Funeral services were held at Weavers Church on Dec. 4, Bishop D. W. Lehman and Oliver Keener in charge. Burial was made in the church cemetery.
