Widow of Evangelist, Bible Teacher Dies

Hillsboro, Kan. — Mrs. Anna Rempel, 91, widow of a well-known Mennonite Brethren church leader of past years, died recently at Shafter, Calif., according to word received here.

Mrs. Rempel's husband was Rev. Peter P. Rempel, an elder in the M. B. church who was widely known as a traveling evangelist and Bible teacher. The Rempels formerly lived here, and he was the first Bible teacher at Tabor College. Mrs. Rempel at one time studied in Switzerland.
