LOUISE REMPEL
Louise Rempel was born April 7, 1952 in Calgary and became the chosen daughter of Abram and Catherine Rempel on April 6, 1953. Her sad disposition at the time of her adoption soon turned to cheerfulness. Her love for singing was evident at an early age and at the age of nine she accepted Jesus as her personal Saviour. During the next few years she participated in Sunday school, choir and young peoples. Then followed years of inward unrest and turmoil.
She became ill requiring hospital treatment in May, 1971 and was then released to go home in July. It became very evident that God had performed a change in her life and she spent much time in prayer. Her health grew worse and she was admitted to the hospital again in September and in October, 1971 she submitted to brain surgery. However, she continued to deteriorate. One of the last phrases heard from her lips were, "For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son ...." God took her home to be with him at the age of 19 on March 18. The funeral followed in the Highland Mennonite Brethren Church on March 21 with Rev. A. L. Klassen ministering. She leaves to mourn her parents; three sisters, Emily, Sharon and Doreen; and two brothers, Gary and Albert.
