HENRY REMPEL

Henry Rempel was born on June 5, 1926, in Southern Russia. That same year he came to Canada with his parents who settled in Manitoba. Here he spent his childhood.

In 1941 the Rempel family moved to Yarrow, B.C., and then to Arnold, B.C. Mr. Rempel spent one year in the Yarrow Bible School before he went to Vancouver in 1945 to apprentice as a carpenter. At the age of 21 he received Christ as his Saviour and was baptized the following year.

On April 10, 1949, he was married to Susan Enns. The Lord blessed them with three children: Leonard, born January 10, 1950, Stanley, born December 28,1953, and Beverley, born November 5, 1958.

Mr. Rempel had a deep desire to serve his Lord. While still in good health he enjoyed ushering and meeting new people. He greatly enjoyed his work as carpenter and was always ready to donate his time to the Lord's work.

However, illness came early in his life, In 1969 he was forced to quit work entirely.

His desire to live was in part motivated by his conoern for his children whom he longed to see come to know Christ as Saviour,

On August 30, the Lord quietly called him home. He passed away in complete peace with God and his fellow men,

He leaves to mourn his wife, Sue; his children, Leonard, Stanley and Beverley; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Rempel, his parents-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Cornelius Enns, six brothers, five sisters and many other relatives and friends.

The family wishes to acknowledge that it has been the prayers of their many friends that sustained them through all the 17 years of Henry's illness and now in his death.
