Member of Mennonite Board Of Missions Called by Death.

Scottdale, Pa. — Eli G. Reist, for many years treasurer of the Eastern Mennonite Board of Missions and Charities, passed to his eternal reward July 28. He had been a member of the board, as well as its treasurer, since its organization, and because of his efficient and thorough work has become known in nearly all Mennonite circles throughout the world.

Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon, July 30, in the Mount Joy meetinghouse, conducted by Bishop H. E. Lotz and Henry F. Garber.

The deceased had retained his position as treasurer of the mission board until failing health made this work impossible. He reached the age of 77 years.
