text of obituary:

PETER H. REIMER

Peter Hildebrandt Reimer was born on Aug. 8, 1882 to Peter and Katherina Hildebrandt Reimer at Hillsboro, Kan. His boyhood years were spent in Hillsboro, moving to Medford, Okla. in 1898. He was baptized on June 7, 1903 and joined the Medford Mennonite Church where he was a faithful member until his death on Oct. 8, 1968, at the age of 86 years and two months.

On Jan. 4, 1906 he was married to Katherina Martens. Five children were born to this union. His wife and four of the children preceded him in death.

On Feb. 28, 1918, he was married to Augusta Thimm. Seven children were born to this union of which three preceded him in death.

He leaves to mourn, his wife; three sons, Milton of Burlington, Colo., Lee of Great Bend, Kan. and Ramon of Medford; two daughters, Mrs. Bernard (Edna) Reimer of Inscription House, Ariz., and Mrs. Kenneth (Irma) Krehbiel of Deer Creek; 17 grandchildren and three sisters, Mrs. Kate Harder of Goessel, Kan., Mrs. Anna Janzen of Medford, and Mrs. Martha Rice of Salem, Oregon, and a host of relatives and friends.

He spent 59 years living on the same farm northeast of Medford, moving to town in 1964. He experienced both hardship and joy, life's darkest moments and also the brightest of days, the last bright day being his golden wedding celebration in February of this year.

He will always be remembered as one who believed in honesty, sincerity and discipline, and above all, in God who was the author and finisher of his faith and life.
