WERNER REIMER

Werner Reimer died in the Kelowna, B.C. hospital on September 18 at the age of 15 from a life-long illness.

Born on May 5, 1960 in Volendam Colony, Paraguay, Werner moved with his family to Kitchener, Onto in 1962. Here, despite a muscular handicap, he attended school through grade five and fellowshipped at the Kitchener Mennonite Brethren church.

In 1972 the family moved to Kelowna, B.C. where he continued in school. On April 27, 1975 he was baptized in the Kelowna MB Church by pastor Ed Wiebe. From his wheelchair Werner spoke of trusting Jesus for eternal life and of wanting to serve God by patience and prayer. The family speak of him as an example of faith.

Werner was predeceased by two brothers, Arnold in 1962 and Zieg in 1975. He will be missed by his parents, Erna and Adolf Reimer, two brothers, Arno and Eduard, a grandmother, Erna Eichorst of Kitchener, and the church body.
