text of obituary:
Peter P. Reimer died in the hospital at Tulare, California, on January 12 at the age of 69 years, 5 months, and 12 days. He was born at Kleefeld, South Russia, and came with his parents to America at the age of seven years. They made their home at Alexanderwohl, near Newton, Kansas, where he was received by baptism into the Mennonite Church in 1889. On April 9, 1893, he united in marriage with Eva Hiebert and the Lord blessed this union with eleven children, two of whom preceded him in death. A year after their marriage they moved to Medford, Oklahoma, where he resided with his family until they came to California in 1926 and made their home near Reedley. Three years ago he was afflicted with heart trouble which caused a dropsical condition. He was tenderly cared for by his children until his condition became such that they could no longer care for him, and he was taken to the hospital at Tulare. Here he bore his suffering patiently until the Lord called him home. Funeral services were held in the Reedley church on January 15, at which Rev. H. J. Krehbiel spoke upon Job 14:14 and Rev. J. H. Langenwalter on Zech. 14:6-9. He leaves to mourn his death nine children, five sons and four daughters, a brother and a sister, twenty-one grandchildren, and many friends.
