MRS. DAVE C. REIMER

Mrs. Dave C. Reimer (nee Marie F. Classen) was born on April 2, 1925 to Jacob R. and Anna Classen at Meade, Kan. Being brought up in a Christian home and community, in youth she came to a personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ as her Saviour. As a Christian she had a vital interest in spiritual things and the Bible. She attended the Meade Bible academy for several years. On Sept. 9, 1940 she was baptized upon the confession of her faith and received into the membership of the Emmanuel Mennonite church at Meade. In the church she took a vital role, especially as a teacher of adult Sunday school classes.

On Oct. 7, 1945 we were joined in holy marriage and thus spent almost 14 years of happy life together. Four sons and a daughter came to bless our home of which one son passed away at the age of four months. As a mother she gave herself unreservedly to seeing after the welfare of the home, physically and spiritually, having the salvation of the children at heart.

About the middle of June a liver ailment made itself evident. When she failed to respond to treatment, she was admitted to the Kansas University Medical center at Kansas City early in July. Everything known in the medical profession was applied in her case to no avail. Though the intercessory prayers of God's children moved the arm of God in a wonderful way to uphold her spirit in all her suffering, it also pleased Him to call her from out of life and to translate her into His eternal Kingdom of Light.

She passed away on Aug. 1, reaching the age of 34 years and four months. Next of kin who preceded her in death are her mother and father, her infant son and two brothers and two sisters in their childhood.

She leaves to mourn her departure, her husband, four children, Gary, 11, Sharon, 8, Myron, 5, all of the home and Verlen, age six weeks, still in the Meade hospital; brothers, Dick of Meade, Martin of Dallas, Ore., Willie and George, both of Walnut Hill, Fla.; her step-mother and many other relatives and friends.
