MARGARET REGIER

(Mrs.) Margaret Regier of Coaldale, Alta. passed away on April 3. She was born on December 10, 1899 to Peter and Helen Dueck in Ebenfeld in the Crimea, Russia. She accepted the Lord as her personal Saviour at age 22, was baptized in 1925 and joined the Evangelical Mennonite Brethren church. In 1921 she married Peter P. Regier. They emigrated to Canada in 1930, eventually settling in Coaldale. The couple was called to serve in the Coaldale MB diaconate in 1951. She is survived by her husband; two sons and wives: Peter and Annie, John and Katie; four daughters: Helen Petker, Lydia and John Thiessen, Beth and John Loewen, Anne and Henry Siebert; daughter-in-law Martha Regier; 24 grand- children and four great-grandchildren. The funeral was held April 7 in the Coaldale MB Church, with pastor Rudy Heidebrecht, and Nick Reimer officiating.
