&bull; Mrs. B. C. Regier, 78, a lifelong resident of this community, died on May 1 at Bethel Deaconess Hospital. Mr. and Mrs. Regier had taken their first jet flight on April 19, traveling to Bogalusa, La. to visit their son-in-law and daughter, Dr. and Mrs. John R. Schmidt and family. Several days later Mrs. Regier became ill. She was able to return here by plane on April 29, but her condition worsened and she died a short time later. The funeral was conducted Saturday afternoon at the First Mennonite Church, where she had been baptized in 1907. She was the former Agatha Andres. Surviving in addition to her husband and daughter, Mrs. Schmidt, are another daughter, Mrs. Gerhard Harder of Whitewater; two sons, Herman B. and Edwin J. of rural Newton; 22 grandchildren, two sisters and one brother.
